First described by Barbara Sher, a ‘Scanner’ is a person with an intense curiosity about numerous unrelated subjects. Scanners are endlessly curious and often hopelessly interested in many unrelated topics.

Magazine Articles
With a fascination for how the mind can affect the body to help it heal and reduce pain, I created a blog on the subject that has led me to write articles for internationally recognised magazines.
Character Designs
Finding inspiration from my surroundings, I have created cute and kind characters that can teach us valuable life lessons. Other characters have been created to support stories.
Children's Books
Mixing my previous career as a Nursery Nurse with my current one as a Graphic Designer, creating children's story and factual books is the perfect outlet for some of my quirky ideas.
Other Books
Ranging from a book with a spine that unzips to a book about healing with the use of your mind, I have created unique books that will make you think and hopefully smile.
Pareidolia
Finding faces in everyday objects, known as Pareidolia. I have discovered many faces as I travelled the World, some I even created into little characters and shared in books.
Cyclops
In Chicago, with the idea of everyday Cyclops running through my head, I was unable to sleep until the creation of a website and book about a fictional cosmetic surgery run by Simone Klopp came to life.
Things that R Amazing!
With books, polls, podcasts, stories, facts and quotes, and in fun and quirky ways, The R Amazing! brand was created to help us all rediscover the amazing that surrounds us in the ordinary every day.
Podcasts
Each episode enables a different person to share views on their most Amazing Person, Object, Animal, Quote, Book and then concludes with their opinion on the most amazing thing ever!
vOUCHers
Along with fellow Samaritan, Jennifer, we created vOUCHers as a safe way for people to request emotional support simply by giving a vOUCHer which states how their emotional need can be met.
Graphic Design
Samaritans
For more than a decade, I have been a Listening Volunteer with Samaritans, most of that time as a trainer and three of those years as the Director running the branch. The main skill I have developed in this time is empathy.
Travel
Catching the travel bug in my early twenties, it wasn't until my late thirties that I committed to the lifestyle by quitting my job and selling everything I owned, including my house, to travel the World.
